Define Your Own Success Story

Hi, guys! Lastly I could appear here this moment. Weekend now is what I miss
whole days in a week. hehehe... I made an article based on my point of view. May
it foster your intention to read, think, and then dare to write here.
Have a meaningful reading time! ^___^

Make your Own Success Story

Many times when I visited bookstores in my town, tens of books with word
“success” labeled on their cover. For several people, it might be eye-catching
and so attractive. Then I remembered and considered a very famous wise word, “ do
not judge a book by its cover!”. Yeah, this tremendously applied here. Not all
the success-labeled books are successful to bring their readers to success.
Even, big part of their contents are likely similar one another. Afterward, I
started to think more…
How many of your families, relatives, colleagues, friends or people you know
much are seemingly called success-man? May be hundreds of them or more. The next
question is, “ how do you think about them? Are you impressed by their what so
called success?”. I am pretty sure if you think that they’re very inspirational,
they must be striving to their goal. They struggled to achieve what becomes
their dreams. Their story is so enlightening and giving you goosebumps…
It’s normal and, yeah, we should be like that. We should put a big question mark
above our head when we think about their accomplishment. How come they become so
rich, powerful, influencing, and inspiring?

But, is it enough admiring those accomplishments? Is it remarkable just reading
a pile of success stories?

Indeed, nothing is wrong with buying a pile of “success-book”. It just does not
lead us to anywhere else when we stop at this point. But, at least it might
change the way we think, act, and behave to be a success-man. We can realize
what things of ours should be prepared, fixed, and mended, so that we are able
to see the brighter side of dark clouds in the sky.

Here, I (very subjectively) found some of common inadequacies of those whose
heart are thrilled by others’ success story :
1. Excessively being enchanted by the story. We are no more than just the
admirer of others’ success life. We buy plenty of books that we think they
can make us rich, famous or great enough. Commonly, we forget of how our
“super heroes” struggled and survived in their hard time. We have less
attention to the time when they crushed down, tumbled, and then arose
again. We love reading the section of their great moment instead of their
effort which was full of blood, sweat, and tears. After all, no success
without trouble and obstacle.

2. Lack of patience. After reading such kind of book, we are usually
tremendously motivated and so passionate to meet the success in our future.
This is not bad at all. It will be useless if it is just temporal
intention. No follow up. No real action. But, we impatiently want to be on
the top of the world as soon. (hey…I just remembered a slogan of a
president candidate last year “sooner is better” )

3. We are what we are. (Popeye The Sailor used to saying "cuz I am what I am)
Somebody may be good and excellence in a certain thing, while others may
not. Someone may be able to achieve certain greatness but others may not.
We can’t just imitate our “super heroes” with blind eyes. We must not copy
all the way of others in pursuing their highest goals. Human being is so
unique and distinctive. So, it does not matter if we want to copy and paste
others’ footprint of success as long as we adjust it with what we really
are. Everyone has his particular and specific field of success.

For me, there is no fixed definition of success that can be applied for
everyone. We are granted this life to be tested which one of us is the most
faithful and the most useful. Regardless what our skin colors are, regardless
what race we are, regardless how poor we are…success belongs to us when we
devote ourselves to the Most High and the Most Powerful.

Hence, we should set up our own definition of success. No need to listen to
those who mock our definition. They do not own our lives, but we. We truly have
authority to manage, state, and lead our ways to success.

For me, success is when I can make history!
What about you?
